Privacy
This site is run by Lukas Grigis, based in Switzerland. It collects as little personal data as possible. This page explains what is collected, where it goes, and how long it stays.
Newsletter
Subscribing stores your email address in a database (Amazon DynamoDB, AWS region Frankfurt). Signup is double opt-in: nothing is kept permanently until you click the confirmation link, and unconfirmed requests are deleted automatically after 24 hours.
Issues are sent through Resend. Every email contains an unsubscribe link; after you unsubscribe, your address is deleted within 30 days.
Contact form
Messages sent through the contact form (name, email address, message) are forwarded to me as an email via Resend. They are not stored in a database on this site; they live in my mailbox, and I use them only to reply.
Spam protection
Both forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes technical browser data to tell humans from bots. This site stores none of it.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which articles get read. It collects page views and technical data such as browser type and approximate location; Google may process this data on servers in the United States.
You can exclude yourself with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Hosting
The site is served as static files from Amazon S3 via Amazon CloudFront (AWS). Like almost any host, AWS processes technical connection data (such as IP addresses) to deliver the pages.
Your data, your call
You can ask what data exists about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted at any time. Send me a note via the contact form and I will take care of it.
